Oscar Lecea President
- Oscar has a combined 31 years experience in the fields of R&D, engineering, prototype development, manufacturing and statistical quality control. Most of his career has been in the automotive industry, one of the world's most technological, cost and quality sensitive manufacturing sectors. Oscar currently holds 12 United States and European patents on products ranging from on-board vehicle emissions diagnostic systems and oil and fuel quality sensing, to gasoline, diesel and fuel cell reforming technologies. He has been trained in Taguchi and Shainin statistical quality control methodologies and has implemented them in the design of lean manufacturing operations in the United States and Mexico.
- Oscar has worked in the development of and packaging of various gas sensors designed to operate in harsh environments. In the process, he has gained extensive knowledge in the field of gas analysis, equipment calibration, validation and testing. Oscar was a core team member in the development of other multi-functional chemical sensors, which continuously monitor actual oil condition and vehicle fuel quality. He was a contributor on several Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) papers published on the subjects of vehicle on-board emissions diagnostic systems (OBDII) and of gasoline and diesel engine oil life.
- His most recent work has been in diesel fueled hydrogen reformers for fueling fuel cell powered generators under DoD and DoE contracts. Reformers are basically mobile refineries which crack the hydrocarbon molecules into gases (hydrogen, carbon monoxide, etc.), which are then converted to electrical energy by the fuel cell. Oscar has also been awarded a United States patent and a Delphi Corp trade secret for the design of a non-thermal plasma generator for high voltage chemical breakdown of combustion gases to molecular combinations, which can then be catalytically reacted to non-polluting continuants.
